The Warning

I was in a back alley, what I was doing there, I have no idea. But I was walking with a bat in my right hand. It was wooden and had dried blood on it. It was Identical to the one that my brother had in his bedroom. But I was walking very slowly and quietly. It was like I was going to kill someone. But I had no idea what I was doing with the bat. I was in the middle of a patch of fog, thick and weirdly cold. Then I looked down, I’m wearing my brother's Converse shoes… What’s happening?? Why am I walking in the middle of a fog and a random back alley!?

I tried to calm down but then I started to walk faster. I wasn’t wanting this, where was I going? Then I started to run. Once I was running for a bit I saw a man. I had never seen him before at least from the back I hadn’t. He was a light brunette, around 6’2, and I could tell that he had a full-on beard. I didn’t know him. But I couldn’t tell what was about to happen until I saw the bat… It was for the man’s head… How do I stop this?? I can’t stop the force that’s moving through me. As soon as the bat hit his head I opened my eyes and stood up…

“It was all a dream…” I mumbled to myself. I slowly fell back onto my side to go back to sleep. But I couldn’t. I was awake from when I woke up till my alarm to get out of bed came on. I called in sick for work to try and figure out what had just happened to me. So I tried for a few more hours trying to go back to sleep but that never happened. So I finally got up out of my bed walked to the kitchen and made a bowl of cereal for myself. But as I was pouring the milk, I started to see it again and I dropped the bowl on the floor. I didn’t get any of it on or in myself. But I just stood there. I wasn’t looking at it, I was looking out of my kitchen and into my living room as I saw the man sitting in my chair always empty unless I had friends over. But after a while of just sitting there, he started to wither away. It was like every fiber of his being was drifting into the world. Never to be seen again. After he had drifted, I realized what a mess I had made. So I started to clean it up with paper towels carefully took the glass and threw it away in the recycling.

This seemed to happen all day. Then once I went to sleep that night, I had the same dream. It was extremely weird and it kept on happening every night. I had the same dream for about 4 days. Once I had woken up on the fifth day, I realized that one of my best friends had set me up on a blind date.

So I started to get ready, he was going to meet me at Grand Central and we would go from there. So I put my clothes on; I was wearing a pair of blue washed jeans. And a black body suit that was long sleeve as it is late October and it is officially winter. Then I put on my favorite jewelry and grabbed my keys and my bag. After I made sure I had all of my stuff, I left the house and started to walk to the car. I live out in Long Island so I have to have a car to get to the train station. It's only a 5 min drive but it's better than a 20 min walk. Plus not many roads have sidewalks so that would make it harder too. Once I got to the train station I got there just in time for the train to come so I quickly got on and we were on our way.

It took about 45 minutes to get to Grand Central as I took the express train since I wasn't just going to a stop on Long Island. Once I got to Grand Central, I was looking around for the man I was to meet for a blind date. I was to meet him by the Lululemon by the exit doors. And then I saw him, he was facing the other direction but I could recognize him from somewhere.

Then he turned around, this was the man that I killed every night in my dream for the past 4 days... How was he here?
